Dr. Amir Adler is a faculty member at the Electrical Engineering Department, Braude College of Engineering, and a Research Affiliate at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT. He was a post-doctoral associate at the laboratory of Prof. Tomaso Poggio at the Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines (CBMM) at MIT, where his research was focused in deep learning and signal processing. He served as the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Communications, Israel, and was Chief Technology Officer of the Wi-Fi division at NextWave Wireless Inc. (acquired by AT&T). He is the recipient of the 2011 Google Europe Doctoral Fellowship in Multimedia, a co-recipient of the 2012 HP Labs Open Innovation Research Award, and a winner of the 2019 Facebook Content Policy Research on Social Media Platforms Research Award. His current research is focused in deep learning and inverse problems. He holds a PhD in Computer Science, an M.Eng (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering, and a B.Sc (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering, all from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
